Rest and Relaxation

Our trip to California for New Years was all about R&R for Mom and Dad and fun, fun, fun for the kids. Uncle James gave our girls as well as Kalene's girls each a wagon for Christmas. Phillip knocked their socks off when he took all four of them at one time in a wagon ride around the yard. Grandma and I showed him up though one day when we took all five little girls, Brooklyn included, to the park in the wagons.

The girls played all week. We took the five of them to Bedtime Stories one day and to an ice cream parlor another. They wanted to play with their cousins every second of the day. Brooklyn was happy to experience her first taste of rice cereal. Now she thinks she wants every food in the cook book.

Matt and I had time like we haven't in years to just relax. We went to every movie out right now with family. We brought in the New Year with a bang and discovered a great new Sushi Restaurant. After a while Reagan said that it was her turn for a date with us since we had been on so many with each other. You can't ask for more than that! We had so much time to play Wii and other games with family and enjoyed every moment of our vacation.
