Happy Halloween!

This year four little witches
and a Pirate. Our Halloween
began yesterday morning with Kenna's preschool parade. Reagan had her parade this morning. Yesterday Reagan asked me why I didn't go to her parade last year. When I explained that it was because I had to work last year she said,
"I am so happy you don't go to
work anymore." She then turned to Matt and thanked him for not letting Mommy work anymore. I as so touched . Thank you, Matt, for being above and beyond supportive so much that our five year old
notices all you do for us.

This afternoon we watched The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Tonight the real excitement began as we headed out to do some trick or treating. Kennedie loved this more this year than ever before. It was really fun to hear her ask to go to the next house, ring the doorbell, and say "Trick or Treat" louder than her older sister.

Next, we headed over to the Dyer's house for their annual Halloween party with soups and Krispy Kremes. This is a treat for the adults although the kids have fun too. We love Halloween!

Thumb Sucker

We have now had one of each kind of baby. Reagan was a binky baby. We had a hard time taking the binky away from her. Kennedie never took a binky. She was such an easy baby and never needed a binky to soothe her. Well, Brooklyn has been trying to get that thumb in her mouth since she was born. She not only suceeded, now she will not keep it out of her mouth. So now we hope and pray that this doesn't last and worry for age three with a thumb sucker! You can throw away a binky. You can't throw out a thumb. She sure is cute though!

Puppies are here!

Yesterday morning Addie came to lay by me. Ten minutes later
she starts licking something, and wouldn't you know, it was a puppy! So much for the week to two weeks the vet gave me on Thursday. She began having puppies at 8 am and by noon she had eight puppies. We thought that she was done, but at 6pm she gave birth to healthy little number nine. All the puppies and their momma are doing so well. The little ones yelp and sound like kittens meowing while Addie cleans, feeds, and moves them around. We have six little Beckams and three little Addies. Reagan has already named the whitest and biggest of them all cutie pie.
Kenna argued that they are all named cutie pie. They are adorable and we love them!

Fun in the Canyon

Sunday night we went up to South Park in the Canyon for dinner with the Dickson's and Montagues. All of the girls rolled down the hill, played soccer and football, took an adventure in the dinosaur park (the woods), and walked along the river. We were happy to take advantage of what could possibly be our last beautiful Sunday weather for a while. Good food, good friends, good times.

Witches, Goblins, and Ghouls

This week the girls went to a Halloween party that would scare your little Frankenstein socks off. They had their faces painted, played games, and even had their hair painted! The Neilsens know how to keep a ghoul entertained!

First snow and family day

Last weekend we went to Braydon's baptism and Ellie's blessing. It was also the first snow day of the year. We had fun as always fooling around together as Mogles.

Six Quirks

Tara tagged me, so here are my six quirks... it is going to be boring.
1. I like to clean. Yes, I know this sounds weird. But it's true. Does this mean my house is always clean? No. Not at all. It does, however, mean that for some strange reason I have to do the dishes and start a load of laundry in the morning before I will let myself exercise. You think I'm kidding? I didn't do Pilates this morning because I never started a load of laundry. And I love Pilates.
2. Let's keep on track with chores. I don't mind washing laundry. Or even changing it. I hate to fold it. Hate it. My girls clothes are sorted into which drawers they go into and stacked in there unfolded.
3. I can watch a movie over and over again for a month or more. I have watched Pride and Prejudice so many times this month that Matt will walk in and say, "again?" To my credit, I usually watch while folding the stupid clothes.
4. I like change. It keeps things interesting and time moving quickly. I enjoy new things and events. Even scary change is thrilling in a way.
5. I don't like shoes. I would like to think I am getting better about this thanks to my fashion forward husband. I think I have some cute shoes now. But the truth is that you will find me in flip flops most days of my life. I owe this quirk to my Mom who would go barefooted all her life if she could.
6. Once a friend, always a friend. Okay. Certainly this is not always the case. But friends mean a lot to me and have done much in helping shape who I am. So even those friends that I grow distant from I have a tendency to follow up with as often as is possible.

No more tagging me, okay? I'm not good at it, and am moderately boring. Now with that said, sorry Jen and Sue. You two are not boring in the slightest, and after your last tag posts my mouth is watering for more, lol. So you are it. Amy, you are tagged too for telling Tara that I wouldn't do this post (even though you are right. You know me well.)

Miniature Golf

One of the fun things about Halloween is picking out our pumpkins in Gunnison each year. This year we added Miniature Golf to the day and it was a blast. Kenna and Jaxton played together and Reagan and Kiara were quite a team. I think I see a new tradition in the making...
