22 weeks, measuring 34 weeks
I am having contractions daily, starting to dialate, and doing all that I can to keep these babies growing until at least week 37.
I am frightened to see how big my belly will be when I am 37 weeks, measuring almost 50 weeks pregnant!

Ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith
Today it seems hard to believe that months ago I felt at an all time low. Today it seems that I have more blessings than I can count and that they just keep growing.
Months ago I applied for a promotion that I was well qualified for. I was disappointed when the position was filled without any applicants having even been given the chance to interview. I was annoyed at having to train my new boss.
Months ago I applied for BYU to complete my degree. I figured that I would be accepted quite easily considering that I was accepted at BYUH, which is much harder to get into. I was heartbroken the day that I received my rejection letter.
Months ago I was devestated because my last baby was not ready to join our family. We tried for half a year to get pregnant and each month only brought new tears.
But the Lord has a plan for us and loves us. He is watching out for us and we have to be patient during the trying times.
When I learned that I was pregnant I was so happy I cried again. Only this time they were tears of complete joy. A month later we learned that we were having twins and as Matt says, "It is like Christmas for VeeAnn all over again". The timing, though not what I had wanted is absolutely perfect. Brooklyn should be three before the babies are born and the girls will be enjoying summer when their new siblings arrive.
Monday I was offered the promotion of a lifetime. One that I did not apply for, nor did I have to interview for. I started training yesterday and both Matt and I feel that this, although again, not something I would have pursued, is absolutely perfect for our family. I know that Heavenly Father arranged this new career and there is no doubt in my mind that He is watching over our family. I will now be working on the CRM Marketing Operations team and could not be more excited.
Thank goodness I was denied from BYU. Again, the Lord knew what he was doing. There is no way I could be finishing school while pregnant with two babies, beginning a new marketing career!
I am so happy. I have a loving husband who has been my best friend through all of the hardest months of the past year and who has been my biggest supporter during the happy times as well. I have the most amazing daughters and I know that these two little ones will fit in perfectly. Reagan already decided that, "if they are boys we will do our best to teach them to be calm and not crazy like all boys are. We will be good examples." Here's to crossing our fingers that the specialist is able to take a peek at gender during our appointment later today!

Oh Deer
We have pet deer. A couple of them. Or so it seems. Almost everyday lately there are deer in our backyard. They eat our grass and then go take a nap under our trampoline. They stay for days if we don't make them leave, but we have to evict our pets daily so that the girls can play outside.
We have very high fences. However, our back fence is on a steep hill. The deer can easily jump into the yard from the back fence, but going the other way is a different story. So to help them find their way out of the yard we will open gates, but one day we left the gate open the entire day and the lazy deer just kept napping under the trampoline.
Yesterday out of the blue Brooklyn exclaimed, "I want to go ride the deer". Oh dear.

Happy sixth birthday, Kennedie!
Presidents Day six years ago Kennedie Lorraine Mogle was born. She was the easiest and happiest baby that anyone could ask for.
This year we had no clue what to get Kennedie for her birthday. I love how we solved this dilemma. I took my sister with me to the store and she kept the girls up by her cart. We went through the isles and Kennedie would tell her what she wanted for her birthday.
I followed behind with my own cart and when she wasn't looking I filled the cart with this and that of her liking, covering it with my jacket. I then had Josalyn go get some candy with them while I checked out. Problem solved, she got just what she wanted and saved me from guessing!
Monday we went to watch Justin Bieber, her choice, though we didn't stay through the whole movie because she thought it was boring. Later that day we went to Malawis. Kennedie hates pizza. I know! What kid hates pizza??? But Mac and Cheese is her favorite and Malawis undeniably has the best of both so that's where she chose to go for dinner.
We then headed across the street to the Provo Beach Resort where they went on the carousel, we played Mini Croquet, watched the surfers, played in the playground, and then had fun on the arcade games.
To end the day we had cake and ice cream at home. What was Kenna's wish for the year? Right now I am afraid to even guess, but I'm sure the little smarty pants thought up something original.

12 Week Moglets
Yesterday we had our second ultrasound of the tiny little Moglets. They are both growing and doing well, measuring right where they should be. Baby A, on bottom, has it's head on the right and body on the left and Baby B, on top, has it's head on the left side looking right at us. The first ultrasound at eight weeks looks to me as if they each have their own placenta, making them di/di twins (two placentas, two amniotic sacs). However, when I asked the tech yesterday (LOVE HER) she said that it looks like they share a placenta and pointed out the ring around the babies. This would mean that they would be identical and also would mean they are mo/di twins (one placenta, two amniotic sacs) which makes this a higher risk pregnancy. We will go to an MFM (specialist) in a month to confirm. This would also mean that they would both be boys or both be girls!
Either way, there is a membrane separating the babies and this is very good. If there were no membrane they would have the added risk of cord entanglement. So great news there. Matt and I will start to take pics of my belly this week since I honestly look like I am at least half way through my pregnancy. I can't promise I will post them all though! It will be crazy to see how big this belly of mine can grow.

No More Doctors!
In the past week I have been to eight doctor appointments for my daughters and I. Thursday will make nine. I am so tired of the doctors offices!
Last Friday night Matt laid Brooklyn in bed with me. After about an hour she woke me asking me to kiss her arm saying it hurt. She continued crying and asked me again and again to kiss her. I turned on the light to see that she had a white bubbly rash covering her arms, legs, face and belly. It looked like an allergic reaction to something. I gave her Benadryl and took her down to have Matt cuddle her until he was ready to come to bed.
Saturday night she got the rash again and I had been monitoring what she ate all day. I knew she hadn't eaten anything out of the ordinary and she'd had no change in detergent or anything. So Sunday morning I asked my friend who tested her baby for allergies about the process and which doctor she used. I figured we would take Brooklyn in on Monday.
Sunday night Brooklyn got the rash again, only this time after we gave her benadryl, she continued to cry for an hour straight and held her mouth. I took her to the emergency room and the staff was truly wonderful. After waiting forever the doctor saw us and knew immediately what the problem was. He said, "I think it is strep, let's test for that and go from there". Sure enough the test came back positive. He said that when strep is combined with a rash such as this it is classified as Scarlet Fever. Brooklyn was put on an antibiotic for a week and is back to her normal self now.
Monday morning I went to see a dermatologist. I love the dermatologist! He removed a mole and is having it tested though it should be benign and then although I wasn't going to ask about my face he made sure twice that I didn't have any further questions. So the second time he asked if I had other concerns I said that I would love to have something to help my skin, but that I was kind of resigned to always having not the best skin. He prescribed me things that he said he would feel comfortable giving his daughters if they were pregnant and that as an added bonus the one cream should take away the redness that I get on my chin and cheeks when I am pregnant- and it has. Love the dermatologist!
Tuesday I went to the hospital to have my bloodwork done. That's never fun, but at least it is quick. Then we had a couple of days break before we had to go back yet again! Sunday as I was bathing Kennedie for church I saw that she had a rash covering her body. I took her to the InstaCare and she and I both saw the doctor there. Sure enough, she now has Scarlet Fever. I had myself checked as well, knowing how dangerous it can be for the babies and luckily I am fine for now. So Kennedie is out of school for the week.
Monday we had three more appointments. Reagan complained on Sunday that it hurt when she pees. She has a history of bladder infections that we have had thourough testing done for at the hospital. So I took her and we now have all three daughters on an antibiotic! I then had Brook seen and checked once more to make sure her infection is gone. Although the didn't swab her again the doctor said she looks as good as new.
Then I had my OB appointment for the babies immediately following the girls' doctor appointments. I have been looking forward to this appointment for a month. I've never had questions to ask the doctor about pregnancy before, but this pregnancy is completely different. I had a list of questions and would really like to know about the increased precautions for Gestational Diabetes since I have had it twice and am more prone with twins. Also, I really would have liked to talk to the doctor to see if he delivers at Utah Valley Reginal because worst case scenario, if my water broke two months early and I went to Orem Community and had the babies they would likely be transferred to UVR. The last thing I want is to be separated from my babies as we are both recovering. I really would have liked the doctors opinion on that. Also, I have had a ton of cramping in the past month and needed very much either to hear the words, "you are measuring large, there are definitely two in there" or heard two heartbeats or had some assurance that they are both okay.
This doctor spent literally thirty seconds with me. He didn't measure me (as I have had done at every pregnancy appointment ever). He listened to one heartbeat and when I asked about the other one he said, "there's no way of knowing if we listened for a second that we weren't listening to the same heartbeat over again". I've read that so it wasn't a huge surprise. But that was it and the nurse was sent back in. I was so incredibly disappointed. The good news is that I get to have an ultrasound each month to check the babies growth. So the nurse set me up for an ultrasound on Thursday afternoon, my ninth appointment in a week and a half, and I cannot wait for the peace of mind that both babies are growing and kicking.
After Thursday though I would very much like to not see another doctor until March! Thank goodness for flexpay which has saved my bank account! I opted to have a ton taken out of each check for my flexpay so that we could pay for the baby (I thought there was one at that time) and it has already proven to be such a wise decision.

TWINS!

Matt and I are expecting. Our family will be complete on August 22, 2011 with the addition of two little babies to the family. We are having twins!
I went to the hospital for my first normal boring check up. I'm eight weeks pregnant. This Dr. said we would do a pelvic exam and ultrasound. He let me know that he likes to do three ultrasounds during pregnancy- one at the first appointment, one at twenty weeks where we can determine gender, and one toward the end of the pregnancy.
The ultrasound showed us the surprise of a lifetime. The technican held up two fingers and said, "two". I said, "what?" And she said, "there are two babies". I didn't say anything for a bit and she asked if I was in shock. I had the biggest smile on my face and started crying. I really don't know what mumbling, "It's unbelievables" came out after that. I was shaking a bit and practically yelled, "Kenna, there are two babies in my belly, do you see them?". Kennedie said, "Mom, your tummy is going to be HUGE." Laughing, I had to agree. The technician was so cute and said that I had the best reaction. I couldn't stop crying and my smile was plastered to my face.
I called Matt as soon as we got everyone seatbelted in the car. He didn't believe me. No joke, he really didn't believe me. He was with his brother, Mark, at the time. After our call he said, "Mark, we don't have any twins on either side of our family" to which Mark replied, "Yes we do, Matt, Grandma Warinski was a twin!" Matt called me back and asked if I was serious. I had to text him pictures of the ultrasound before I think he truly believed it. He is scared out of his mind, but excited too.
We picked up Reagan from school at 2:15. I told her that Kennedie had something to tell her. She asked, "why are you smiling so big?" Kennedie told her that we were having twins and she was so cute and excited!
I told the few friends and family who already knew that we were expecting that afternoon. Natali had the best reaction. She literally screamed. She was holding baby Miles who was so frightened by her scream that he started crying! She was so happy.
I don't think that I can adequately explain how happy I am. This will be a huge adventure, very difficult, and I think there will be so much joy that it can't all be contained! The Mogle's will be a family of seven in August!

Playing with Cousins
Lana and Claire were able to come and visit a couple of days before Reagan's baptism and Bryan's blessing. Friday night we went to the Riverwoods to visit Santa. The girls each told Santa their greatest desires. Reagan wanted a diary, Kennedie a zhu zhu pet, Brooklyn a stuffed animal, Lana a bell from Santa's sleigh and Claire wanted a pillow pet. Santa was able to come through on all of these wishes.
All of the snowfall for the winter seemed to come during their stay, much to Kalene and my Mom's sadness. On the day of the most snowfall we built a snowman. All five girls contributed and had fun building away. They also jumped on the snowfilled trampoline to their hearts content and took the sled down the hill in the backyard.
We were dogsitting Lucky for ten days during this time for Jared and Holly. The girls all loved Lucky, who is a really great little dog. He did the opposite of help with building the snowman, eating the chocolate chip eyes and buttons. That's what dogs are for, right?
The day after Reagan's baptism, baby Bryan was blessed. My Mom made his little suit and he looked so handsome, as always. I think he looks so much like my brother Phillip, his uncle, except with Disa's brown eyes. He is always a happy baby, but didn't like being in a laying position to be blessed. We then played games and had family visit throughtout the day.

Reagan's Baptism

Reagan turned eight on November 19, 2010. Almost a month later on December 18, 2010 she was baptized. We were able to move the date so that she could be baptized the same weekend that baby Bryan was blessed. My parents and Kalene and her girls were able to come from California.
The day turned out to be a bit crazy as we also had a ward Christmas party that morning and the building was scheduled for a funeral as well. To accommodate all the events we pushed the time back a bit on Saturday. This worked out wonderfully. All of our family was able to come to our home for lunch and then we were able to head over to the church without having to worry about any hungry kids.
Reagan is so special. She was baptized by her Daddy with her Grandpa's standing as witnesses. The circle of men around her during the confirmation was amazing. There were so many family and friends, worthy priesthood holders that we love.

It was a fantastic day. My friend Betheny made cupcakes for Reagan that were truly to die for. We had chocolate cupcakes with raspberry filling and strawberries and cream cupcakes with an almond buttercream frosting and yummy filling. Betheny also took pictures of Reagan and her sisters when we picked up the cupcakes.

My favorite part of going to New York this past year is the story of Reagan's baptism dress. Matt and I had just finished visiting the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. It was a hot day and we popped into Century 21 to cool off before we continued our walking around the city. The department store looked to have some unbeatable deals, so as Matt was perusing the men's section I visited the girls area upstairs. As I was looking around I saw a white dress in the middle of a clearance rack with other clothes. It was the only dress and completely out of place in the rack- not to mention that was white and gorgeous.
The dress looks like a mini wedding dress and looks extremely expensive. It was marked down to $49. However, when the cashier rang the dress up she announced that it was on a further sale and my total was $24! So I purchased the most beautiful dress I could imagine for less than I would be able to make a dress and Reagan got to have a baptism dress from New York City!

I am so proud of Reagan and the choice that she made. I am even more rpoud of her actions the following night when she came to me and said, "I did something wrong. What do I need to do to fix it?" She understands repentence and the sacrifice that our Savior made for us. I am honored to have her for my daughter.
