12 Week Moglets

Yesterday we had our second ultrasound of the tiny little Moglets. They are both growing and doing well, measuring right where they should be. Baby A, on bottom, has it's head on the right and body on the left and Baby B, on top, has it's head on the left side looking right at us.

The first ultrasound at eight weeks looks to me as if they each have their own placenta, making them di/di twins (two placentas, two amniotic sacs). However, when I asked the tech yesterday (LOVE HER) she said that it looks like they share a placenta and pointed out the ring around the babies. This would mean that they would be identical and also would mean they are mo/di twins (one placenta, two amniotic sacs) which makes this a higher risk pregnancy. We will go to an MFM (specialist) in a month to confirm. This would also mean that they would both be boys or both be girls!

Either way, there is a membrane separating the babies and this is very good. If there were no membrane they would have the added risk of cord entanglement. So great news there. Matt and I will start to take pics of my belly this week since I honestly look like I am at least half way through my pregnancy. I can't promise I will post them all though! It will be crazy to see how big this belly of mine can grow.
